Every month, our Celebrating Local campaign shines a spotlight on one of the communities we proudly serve, highlighting the people, places, traditions, and connections that make it unique. This month, we’re excited to celebrate Walton, a community where neighbors know each other, traditions run deep, and community is more than a word; it’s a way of life.

Nestled in the heart of Delaware County, Walton is a place where generations come together and local pride shines through in everyday moments.  It’s Friday night lights under the Catskill sky.  It’s neighbors gathering at the diner, families enjoying the county fair, and familiar faces greeting one another along Main Street.  It’s the businesses, organizations, and community spaces that help create opportunities, foster connection, and make Walton feel like home.  From the river that winds through town to the local businesses that keep Main Street thriving, Walton is built on tradition, resilience, and people who consistently show up for one another.

🔍 Where’s Sprout? Scavenger Hunt

Sprout is back and ready to explore Walton’s branch!

Each week, our mascot Sprout will be hiding at a different local location around our branch. Follow SFCU on social media for clues, then see if you can track him down.

🎨 Flat Sprout Coloring Activities

Kids (and kids at heart!) can join in on the fun with our Flat Sprout coloring sheets.

Pick one up at the Walton branch, take it home to decorate, and bring it back to share your creativity with us. It’s a great way to be part of the celebration while adding a little hometown flair.

🤝 Community Spotlights & Local Stories

Throughout the month, we’ll be highlighting some of the people, businesses, and organizations that help make Walton special.
