Celebrating Local: Introducing SFCU’s Branch & Community Spotlight!

October 14, 2025

At SFCU, we believe in more than banking, we believe in community. Our mission has been to “Do Well to Do Good.” Now, we’re bringing that spirit to life in a way that includes and celebrates all of us with our new campaign:

Celebrating Local: SFCU’s Branch & Community Spotlight!

This series is all about shining a light on the unique stories, people, and places that make each of our branches special. Together, we’re building something bigger, because when we support one another, we’re Growing good. Together.

What You Can Expect Each Month

We will dedicate a full month to every branch in the SFCU family.  During your branch’s featured month, you’ll enjoy:

🗺️ Community Scavenger Hunt: Search for hidden “Flat Sprouts” designed by our staff around town. Follow us on social media for weekly clues!

🎨 Flat Sprout Wall: Grab a coloring sheet of our mascot, Sprout, and add your design to your branch’s display.

💬 Member & Community Spotlights: Hear stories from fellow members, community leaders, and local businesses.

❤️ Featured Donation: Learn about a local organization your branch is supporting and find out how you can get involved.

🎈 Open House Celebration: Join us for an in-branch event filled with fun, connection, and community spirit.

Why It Matters

Every branch has its own personality, stories, and ties to the community. Through Celebrating Local, we’ll highlight those unique qualities while also showing how each location plays a part in the bigger picture of SFCU.

Because when our members, communities, and branches thrive, we all thrive. That’s what Growing good. Together. is all about.

What’s Next

We’re kicking things off in November by celebrating our Oneida St. and Market St. branches in Oneonta. Stay tuned for scavenger hunt clues, spotlights, and open house details.  It’s going to be a month full of connection and community pride.
