Span 193 million acres, offering more than 150,000 miles of trails, 4,300 campgrounds, 1,200 boating sites, more than 30% of the official Wilderness Areas in the U.S., Picnic sites, cultural and historical sites, and 122 ski resorts hosting over 1/2 of all annual skier visits in the U.S.

Each year the NFF restores fish and wildlife habitat, facilitates common ground, plants trees in areas affected by fires, insects and disease and improves recreational opportunities.
